At the end of the 11th century, the troops of the King of England and Duke of Normandy, William the Conqueror, were approaching the castle of Sainte-Suzanne in a dangerous manner. Faced with this threat, Hubert II, Lord of Sainte-Suzanne, decided to protect his most precious possessions. Since then, the treasure has remained undiscovered.
