The Erve valley is unique north of the Loire: a protected area classified Natura 2000, it is home to exceptional flora and fauna. It's the perfect place for nature lovers to spend a day away from it all.
The area is also a popular venue for sporting events, with rock-climbing and caving courses on offer throughout the year. Numerous hiking trails criss-cross the valley and link the neighbouring Petites Cités de Caractère. Numerous activities are organised to help you spend a pleasant time with your family or friends.
The caves are open from 15 March to 14 November.
The Margot cave is open to children aged 3 and over, and the Rochefort cave to children aged 6 and over.
Visits to the caves cover a range of themes: geology, daily life in prehistoric times in the Rochefort cave and cave art in the Margot cave.
