From Saint Pierre, there are a number of footpaths through the countryside, and along the Erve river you can visit the Saulges caves, a prehistoric site in an exceptional natural setting, with rock-climbing and a restaurant on site.
You're in the Coëvrons, a land of art and history, in a remarkable natural and heritage area. Explore the Petites cités de caractères (small towns of character) of Saulges and Sainte Suzanne (also the most beautiful village in France), with 40 signposted hiking trails. Go back in time and visit the Museum of Prehistory, the Roman town of Jublains, the Basilica of Evron, the castle and the medieval town of Sainte Suzanne.
In summer, you can take advantage of the swimming lakes at the Gué de Selle leisure centre in Mézangers, for example (swin golf and canoeing are also available). A wide range of swimming pools in Bais, Evron and Sainte Suzanne to cool off in.
