From Saint-Pierre-sur-Orthe to Saulges, discover the wonderful course of this river.
This part of the Bas-Maine region, now part of the Mayenne département, is criss-crossed by a small river, the Erve, with its tortuous course and steep rocky valleys. All along its course, from Vimarcé to Sablé, the Erve winds its way through a string of prehistoric caves, located mainly in the communes of Thorigné-en-Charnie, Saint-Pierre-sur-Erve and Saulges. Follow the narrow roads to discover the pretty villages and majestic landscapes of this Natura 2000 listed valley.
