L'AUPIN

If you need to recharge your batteries and reconnect with the countryside, Christine welcomes you to l'Aupin, a gîte surrounded by a large garden planted with trees in the middle of fields. This restored farmhouse offers all the comforts you need: on the ground floor there is a comfortable lounge/dining room, a fitted kitchen and a shower room with WC. Upstairs, 2 bedrooms, one with 2 twin beds (90x190cm) and a cot, and the other with a 160/200cm bed. Staircase to the first floor. Television with international channels, wifi internet access, 4G/5G network.
The gîte is just 1.5 km from the towpath (with a hill) that runs through the Mayenne, the VéloFrancette. You can take a break for a few days before resuming your journey.
For leisure, culture, sport and services, Château-Gontier sur Mayenne is just 7 km away. The town has been awarded the "Fleur d'Or" label. It offers quality sporting activities, such as water skiing, an aquatic complex with an outdoor swimming pool, a marina with electric and pedal boats for hire, and bicycles.
From the gîte, or from the village of La Roche-Neuville, there are numerous hiking trails, as in the whole of southern Mayenne.
Don't miss out on a visit to Château Gontier, with its church of St Jean, the Carré cultural centre, the Refuge de l'Arche wildlife park, the Flêche zoo, or the Musée Tatin, an outdoor museum with monumental sculptures - a guaranteed change of scenery!

At the gîte, you'll have outdoor games such as ball games, rackets, pétanque and Mölky (boules pitch). The former stable has also been converted to provide a space for relaxation and leisure. You'll find all kinds of games: table tennis, darts, Dutch billiards and a balance board.

From l'Aupin, you can visit Angers (45 mins), the Anjou region and Brittany.
