We welcome you to our Coudray farm in Saint-Germain-de-Coulamer in Mayenne.
When I was little, I loved petting the animals, playing in the straw, drinking the cows' milk, making herbariums and chasing the chickens.
And what if ... you came along too? Watch the cows ruminate, feed the little calves, go into the henhouse and collect the hens' eggs.
The farm is open to the general public (children, teenagers, families, people with disabilities, retirement homes, leisure centres, schools, businesses, crèches, etc. ).
You can visit the entire dairy farm, from calves and young cattle to dairy cows:
- Discover the farm, the buildings and their uses, the animals, the objects, the equipment and the facilities needed for people, animals and working in the fields;
- explore the world of living things, name and identify animals (male, female, small), learn about their characteristics: hair, feathers, how they move (legs, wings), the different parts of their body, listen to and imitate animal noises, observe the care and needs/feeding according to the animal and its age;
- Find out where milk, eggs and meat come from. Enter certain buildings with the animals, approach them, stroke them, hold them properly, feed them;
- Learn about the different crops: wheat, maize, pasture Touch discovery workshop: dip your hands in the maize, recognise straw and hay, touch the flour.
