Bienvenue à la ferme, farm gate sales of our processed fattened ducks and lambs
Located in the heart of southern Mayenne, we define ourselves as "traditional breeders" with passion and conviction.
For us, this means breeding based on a number of fundamentals: local breeds adapted to their terroir, time to allow the animals to express their taste potential, respect for well-being through open-air rearing, feed produced on the farm, processing of our animals on the farm to perfect the quality of our products through our know-how.
Our Bleu Barré fattened ducks arrive on the farm one day old. Fed on cereals and protein crops grown on our land, they have access to grassland to diversify their diet and develop the marbling of their meat. After 4 months, we force-feed them in the traditional way on straw with whole grain maize for 11 days. Slaughtered and processed in our laboratory, we use our know-how to make our various products: foie gras, magrets, confits, rillettes, terrines, cassoulet, etc.
We also have a flock of Bleu du Maine ewes, a breed emblematic of the Mayenne region, adapted to grazing. Our lambs are reared on grass, giving them a tender, subtle flavour. Slaughtered in Craon and cut in our own laboratory, we offer you vacuum-packed lamb meat boxes and merguez sausages made to our own recipe.
Finally, we're helping to revive a breed of cattle that was once present in southern Mayenne, the Bleue de Bazougers. Together with a small group of breeders who are passionate about the living heritage of Mayenne, we are doing everything we can to restore this breed to the place it should never have left in our region. So, in the near future, we'll be offering you Bleue de Bazougers beef, born and reared on our extensive grass-fed farm.
As you can see, we are very attached to the Mayenne region and its living and culinary heritage. We put all our passion and determination into ensuring that your tasting of our products reflects our commitment.
