





This 17th-century manor house, rebuilt on the site of a 14th-century castle, is well worth a visit. It is still inhabited.
On the borders of 3 provinces, Maine, Normandy and Brittany, just outside Fougerolles du Plessis, Château de Goué is a beautiful, imposing residence perched on a promontory overlooking woods and ponds. Rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries on top of an older castle built in the early 14th century, its sober granite architecture is reminiscent of Breton manor houses. One of the few inhabited châteaux in the Mayenne to open its interiors to you.
