The polyglot duo of Söta Sälta (which means sweet and salty in Swedish) are a joy to behold.

Elsa Birgé and Linda Edsjö have chosen to tackle the "strange" in all its forms. The laughable, the frightening, the allure of the unknown and the foreign, the bizarre. Comme c'est étrange! is a pyramid of stories, vocal games and playful, poetic songs.

The two musicians are funny and cheeky. They sing in French and Swedish. They put their money where their mouths are, involving children in their world of sound. The vibraphone is joined by incongruous objects, percussion, toys, invented instruments and an astonishing vocal harmony. The eponymous album won the Grand Prix jeune public 2020 from the Académie Charles Cros.
