The Saint-Denis-d'Anjou Tourist Office invites you to relive the winegrowing past of this pretty little Cité de Caractère!
To help you get to grips with the winegrowing history of Saint-Denis-d'Anjou, let us guide you through the streets, introducing you to some of the precious grape varieties.
In 1998, 80 ares of vines were replanted in Saint-Denis-d'Anjou, after being ravaged by phylloxera in the 19th century! It was important for the commune to see the reappearance of this vineyard, which has been such an important part of its history...
At the end of this walk, I invite you to discover this replanted vineyard at the Morinière ponds (a few steps from here) and take a look at the old winegrowers' huts, also known as "vine pavilions".
Start your walk in front of the Tourist Office, on the church square!
