A 100% local, semi-nightly market in autumn in the Meslay-Grez region
For the last 4 years, the elected representatives of the Communauté de communes, in partnership with the Pays de la Loire Chamber of Agriculture and the Jeunes Agriculteurs de la Mayenne, have been organising a friendly, family-friendly event with a semi-nightly 100% local market.
More than twenty local producers and designers will be on hand in the gardens of Meslay-du-Maine town hall from 4.30pm until 9pm.
Once again this year, you'll be able to discover a wealth of local produce and expertise, including: pasta and flour, goat's milk products and cheeses, ostrich terrines, cider products, honey, handmade jewellery, handmade decorations, sewing, glass engravings, pottery, herbal teas, soaps, dried flowers and illustrations.
And, of course, the traditional local varieties and flavours: seasonal vegetables and fruit, breads, preserves, baskets, aperitifs, dried products, meat and poultry...
You're bound to find what you're looking for! And the local economy will thank you
The programme :
-Local craft market with tastings
-Refreshments with the Mayenne Young Farmers' Association
-Catering on site or to take away with the Maison Blé noir foodtruck (galettes and crêpes) and pasta boxes
-Musical entertainment with DJ Arthur Thareau
As part of the Sustainable Development Weeks, which run from September 15 to October 15, the market will be hosting 2 environmental awareness stands:
-A waste sorting and recovery prevention stand run by the Communauté de communes' waste prevention officers
-An information stand on local sustainable development, covering food, renovation, mobility, etc., with the Service Énergie-Climat du Sud Mayenne.
