Join us for the 2nd Rendez-vous du Bocage from 11am to 10.30pm at La Rivière - Ferme au bonheur des vaches - for a day of events focusing on the bocage and biodiversity.
On the programme:
Departure at 9.30 am: Walk around the bocage with the association Génération Mouvement - arrival at 11 am
11.30am - Birdwatching walk with the Effraie Coudréenne association
2pm - Discover the world of bees with beekeeper Nicolas Gabillon from Abeille Cool
2pm - Milking cows with farmers Estelle and Olivier Marotte from Ferme au bonheur des vaches
3pm - Walk - bocage from the Middle Ages to tomorrow by Gérard Clouet from the association Mayenne Nature Environnement
How did the bocage develop and evolve from the Middle Ages to its heyday in the 1950s? What are the various causes of its gradual disappearance over time? Hedgerows play different roles in the landscape. How can we find out more about them? Gérard Clouet will analyse experiences and advances in the field of neo-bocage, and propose some ideas for the bocage of tomorrow.
16h30 - From planting to development with Cyrille Barbé from the EIRL "de la haie à la forêt" and François-Xavier Babin from the SCIC Mayenne Bois Energie.
In parallel:
3.30pm: Family show "de feuilles et de poils" by Cie de l'Être à Poils
This is the story of a human being who tries to tidy up the forest in a cardboard box with a broom. But nature itself is not to be trifled with. How will this human being get out of this dilemma?
8.30pm: "l'arbre bleu", a show for all ages, by Compagnie Ô Bec, Théâtre chanson
Through the theme of the tree (the forest, the tree-human link, the vital tree for the planet...), the show invites us to discover trees at the crossroads of the world and its peoples, the reciprocal links that unite them in their daily lives, their environment, their imagination...
Exhibition:
Birdie Mémory, This exhibition combining panels, augmented reality and educational aids will enable you to discover some twenty birds common in Europe, remarkable for their song and behaviour.
11am - 5pm: farmers' market
Refreshment bar and picnic area
Foodtruck in the evening!
Wooden games
The day is free of charge and no booking is required. It's part of the climate month organised by the Mayenne department.
