A travelling festival combining theatre, dance, circus and street arts, Les nuits de la Mayenne has been criss-crossing the department since 1973. From mid-July to mid-August, the festival goes out to meet the locals, seeking to highlight the richness of our heritage through live entertainment.
Blanche was born on a winter's morning, 24 December 1922. Today, she stands before you to share her recipe for life! As she cooks a seasonal soup, her memories and ghosts resurface: her childhood, the farm, her loves, her emancipation... In the order and disorder of her memory, snippets and pieces of her life emerge to tell the story of her odyssey. The audience is invited to join in this joyous banquet, seated on either side of a large farm table, to sample Blanche's cuisine - as spicy as her life!
