40th edition of the Embuscades
Saturday afternoon of music at Les Embuscades:
Les allumés du bidon :
A merry steel band of thirty-three drummers who, from compa to calypso, from Eastern to Oriental music, will take you on a journey of many stops. Let yourself be carried away by their infectious energy, their joie de vivre and the warm sound of their mysterious instruments.
Chœur Kiff et Boum :
Beware, their KIFF is contagious. It can make you want to raise your voice, shake your booty or shed a tear.
And BOUM! It's a choir that's explosive and percussive. You'll be back for more!
Symphonies for horns and windscreen wipers:
This is a concert with commentary. After a presentation of the concert venue, the performers and the instrumentarium by Jérôme Rouger, a fake journalist from France Musique, the concert unfolds according to the usual codes of a classical concert: the highly coded arrival of the musicians, the conductor Patrick Ingueneau, bows, chords, and then the rest of the concert, even though this is a symphony in 3 movements!
Jérôme Rouger's commentary allows us to decode the actions of the conductor and the musicians and to recode them, sometimes giving them an unexpected meaning. These comments, added to the diversion of the usual use of the car, invite us to question the place of the car today.
