Welcome to the aptly named Doucelle ... Our Relais de charme, Maison d'hôtes & de cultures is nestled in a pretty little village in the heart of the Normandie Maine Regional Nature Park, on the Mayenne/Orne border, a 2? hour drive from Paris West, and 1 hour from Caen/Laval/Le Mans. Surrounded by forests and hedged farmland, this former presbytery has been lovingly restored by a couple with a passion for music, nature, encounters and the arts, and offers 5 beautiful rooms for rent (from 14 to 38m2, including a family suite), each bearing the name and atmosphere of a cult song from France's heritage. The house, designed as an invitation to relax, contemplate and reconnect with nature and the senses, boasts a number of comfortable areas (large lounges, dining room, cosy fireplace and armchairs, contemporary art, sound therapy room), a terrace overlooking the magnificent 5,000m2 landscaped park (with many trees and a small pond), a large 500m2 vegetable garden with its vegetables and plants (which we use for our table d'hôtes, in addition to a fine selection of gourmet products from the surrounding area for healthy, authentic cuisine). Initiate yourself to sonotherapy, in sound travel mode, and enjoy our massages, to relax in a different way, our hammocks, deckchairs, table tennis table, our many board games (classic and more exotic), or the bowls and tennis courts adjacent to the house. Come and take part in our courses (naturopathy, art therapy, forest therapy...), and let go. Privatise La Doucelle and create a friendly, authentic setting for your corporate events (team building, seminars, conference meetings) or celebrations (birthdays, weddings). To respect the environment and the slow philosophy, La Doucelle attaches great importance to minimising its carbon footprint, and pays particular attention to its energy consumption (geothermal energy), waste management (composting, sorting, zero waste), re-use & recycling (vintage furniture, repairs, wabi sabi), and product sourcing (100% organic, sustainable or local, no toxic products).
