In 2025, the town of Château-Gontier is paying tribute to Tancrède Abraham, a talented 19th-century artist who left his mark on the town through his works and his cultural responsibilities. He left a rich artistic legacy comprising more than 200 works. Through his paintings and etchings, Tancrède Abraham captured the light of the landscapes of Anjou and Brittany. Guided tours of the Tancrède Abraham temporary exhibition on Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm and 4.30pm. Free admission to the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
