Château de Craon is an elegant tufa château dating from the late 18th century.
Its architecture, largely inspired by Versailles, has earned it the nickname of the "Little Versailles of Mayenne", as evidenced by the furniture that once belonged to Marie-Antoinette and the finely carved woodwork in the drawing rooms. The vast 47-hectare park, particularly the formal garden, forms a remarkable green setting for this architectural ensemble, not forgetting the large walled kitchen garden, the wash-house, the ice-house and the chapel, which complete this very well-preserved historical and family heritage. A typically Anjou way of life reigns here.
Château de Craon opens its doors on Sunday 21 September for the 2025 European Heritage Days, from 2pm to 6pm.
