Journées Européennes du Patrimoine - Visite du Moulin de la Petite Bavouze

The Petite Bavouze mill, an industrial and river heritage site emblematic of the canalised river in the 19th century
Built between 1862 and 1864 during work to canalise the Mayenne, the Petite Bavouze mill bears witness to the milling activity that developed along the river over the centuries.
It was not dismantled after it ceased operating a quarter of a century ago, and is still fully equipped.

Restored since 2021 with the support of the Fondation du Patrimoine, Stéphane Bern's heritage mission, numerous patrons and donors, and local authorities, it has been restored to its former glory, and everyone can now admire this fine 19th-century architecture located on the navigable Mayenne, alongside the "La Vélo Francette" cycle route.
