As part of the European Heritage Days, Château des Arcis is opening its grounds to schoolchildren.
"Raise your eyebrows": activities for schoolchildren, from guided tours to orienteering races, from enigma courses to photo rallies ... as you wish!
Discover, have fun, take an interest, participate, work as a team, learn without even realising it ... it's possible!
We offer schoolchildren
- a guided tour of the site adapted to their level, with comments on the restorations and trades (carpenter, roofer, etc.) if desired
- a meeting with craftspeople from the Mayenne region, who will be exhibiting and demonstrating their skills (Friday 19 September only)
- a photo rally to learn how to spot architectural details, develop their sense of observation and learn technical terms
- a game on the theme of Robin Hood (no, du Bocage, we're in Mayenne): learning to find your way around on a map, riddles on a variety of themes: vocabulary, French expressions, reasoning, etc.
- After consultation with the teachers, it is possible to organise "artistic time" (drawing, poetry, etc.) or an orienteering race, or other activities depending on the teachers' wishes.
These activities are offered throughout September by appointment (except for meetings with art craftspeople, which are only possible on 19 September) and will be adapted according to teachers' wishes. They allow pupils to discover each other and to 'work' as a team.
