Take advantage of the European Heritage Days to discover La Vigie - Mémorial des déportés de la Mayenne on your own. You'll discover rare objects brought back from the Nazi camps, a permanent exhibition, personal accounts of the deportation and the wall of names of Mayenne deportees.
t's also possible to discover the site with guided tours at 2pm and 4pm led by the voluntary and paid staff of the Association pour le Mémorial de la Déportation.
During these two days, at 3pm and 5pm, the Vigie - Mémorial des Déportés de la Mayenne will be showing video testimonies from Mayenne deportees who survived the Nazi camps. The film lasts around thirty minutes and emotionally reveals the hell of the camps.
