The Pays d'art et d'histoire Coëvrons-Mayenne (Coëvrons-Mayenne art and history region) takes you on a dramatised tour to meet some of the people who have shaped the history of Château du Fresne!
Listed as a Historic Monument, with a chapel, dovecote and outbuildings, Château du Fresne boasts a dwelling with a painted "King's bedroom". Let us tell you about the history of the château and the families who have lived there, in the company of some of its most famous figures. From Marie du Fresne to Emile Poirier, via René de Beauregard and Jean d'Anthenaise, discover Le Fresne through dramatised tours led by the company "Je Voudrais Que Rêver" and a guide from the Pays d'art et d'histoire.
Dramatised tours depart every 30 minutes. Last tour at 5pm. Tour lasts 45 minutes. Meet in the courtyard of the château.
Booking recommended, subject to availability.
The château is open throughout the Heritage Days weekend, from 10am to 6pm. On Saturday and Sunday lunchtime, from 12 noon to 2pm, Château du Fresne is offering a "Heritage Lunch" prepared by Cuisine Carine, cooked entirely in the 15th-16th century wood-fired oven of the former bakery. Please book in advance, subject to availability, at https://chateau-du-fresne.sumupstore.com/
