
From 1 February (when La Vigie reopens) to 6 September, a temporary exhibition entitled 1944-1945, the end of the war will be on show at La Vigie - Mémorial, in Mayenne.
On loan from the Châteaubriant Resistance Museum, the temporary exhibition 1944-1945, the end of the war... will be on display at the Vigie - Mémorial from 1 February to 6 September 2025 (during opening hours). The exhibition highlights the different phases that made up the end of the Second World War in Europe and France: the fall of Marshal Pétain's regime and the Liberation of France, the Allied fighting in Western and Eastern Europe, the last deportation convoys, the end of the concentration camp system and the return of deportees, and the post-war period with the Nuremberg trials and the prosecution of French collaborators.
