Music
The estuary, the place where fresh water meets salt water, evokes passage, renewal and fertility. With their new album 'Estuaire', the musicians of the Ensemble Constantinople blend their instruments and voices to create a spellbinding universe that suspends time and soothes the spirit.
Following the international success of their previous musical encounter, Kiya Tabassian and Ablaye Cissoko, masters of the sétar and the kora respectively, reunite and intertwine the currents of their musical memories. Alongside them, their long-time accomplice, the fabulous percussionist Patrick Graham, breathes rhythm and nuance into this sonic conversation. Kora, sétar and percussion intertwine in a refined dialogue between Africa and the Orient, plunging us into the ocean of the present moment for a timeless concert.
