Right in the heart of nature are living creatures, who may not be the size of humans, but each in their own way has a role to play in our ecosystem. Let's take a walk in the woods and meet four characters as small as they are friendly: a little acorn who learns to walk thanks to a community of insects; a family of flies who must protect their home, which is none other than a mushroom coveted by a dog and his master; hares who save their skins by unwittingly deceiving a badger and finally a curious little bat who discovers the world (right side up?) of a family of little mice.

Touche pas à mon champignon! by Evalds Lacis (Latvia, 8', 2024): A formidable mushroom picker and his dog roam the woods in search of a good harvest. But a family of flies, who have taken up residence in a magnificent cep mushroom, are determined to do everything in their power to protect their home from the picker's greed.
The Little Acorn by Dace Riduze (Latvia, 10', 2010): A little girl full of imagination builds characters from the riches of autumn. One of them, a clumsy little acorn, accidentally falls. He decides to set off to discover the world around him, but first he has to learn to walk. Then, having lost his hat, he sets off in search of it, which leads him to a village of insects where he soon turns everything upside down...
The Bloody Carrot by Inese Pavene (Latvia, 10', 2024): A pair of hares discover a beautiful carrot, but when they meet a badger, he takes it away from them. Hungry, the pair set off in search of food when suddenly an exceptional carrot appears. Just as they are enjoying the tasty dish, the badger returns, but when it sees them, it flees, much to the astonishment of the two hares...
Sens Dessus Dessous by Dace Riduze (Latvia, 12', 2023): Andulis, a curious little bat, wakes up too early and discovers that, unlike her brothers and sisters, she loves flying in broad daylight. But after a fall, she is taken in by a family of mice. She makes friends with one of them, who looks very much like her. But in the house of the mice, everything is decidedly upside down...
