Fish farming on the Ouette
The fish farm was set up in 1986 by Claude Rémon on the banks of the Ouette, a river which flows through Parné-sur-Roc, a small, characterful town.
It was then taken over in 2010 by Gwenaël, Eric and Patrick, three partners who were trained by the farm’s founder.
The trout grow in spring water ponds and are then prepared for sale in the processing unit.
Nearby, three fishing lakes of between 1,000 and 4,000 square metres have been developed. Fishing enthusiasts can spend the day trout-fishing and relaxing (there are barbecues, a covered area for 70 people and picnic tables). There is a beautiful panoramic view over the countryside and the village.

The produce
Parné smoked trout, trout rillettes and trout paupiettes very quickly appeared on the menus of Mayenne’s restaurants.
These products can also be found in our region’s shops and are sold by Petrossian, the famous caviar house – that’s quite an endorsement!
The fish-farm is continuing to delight lovers of trout in all its forms:
- Whole trout
- Parné smoked trout
- Trout roe
- Trout rillettes
- Trout paupiettes
- Live trout for repopulation
