In Mayenne 57 fishing associations offer their fishing areas on a reciprocal basis.
Water-courses and lakes are all managed with the same high level of requirements as to quality. The considerable number of water-courses is also evidence of the rich diversity of species.
In the north , you will have the advantage of a swifter current. In this area rich with salmonids, trout are abundant.
In the centre and the south , the slower and deeper water-courses are ideal for cyprinids (roach, carp, tench, etc.) and for superb carnivores: pike, pikeperch, perch.
300 hectares of ponds and lakes are also at your disposal. Perfect for coarse fishing and carp fishing.

Night-fishing areas  : 10 night-fishing areas for carp enthusiasts are at your disposal on the River Mayenne: a rarity!
In addition, a special area has been developed for night-fishing enthusiasts resident at the Villiers-Charlemagne Holiday and Fishing Village.

The River Mayenne
(state and public parts from the town of Mayenne to the borders of Maine-et-Loire).
A very well-stocked river. Large catches (pike, pikeperch, carp) along the entire length. Access both from and between locks (parking nearby).
Many "leisure fishing areas"  (about 180), including 7 for persons of reduced mobility, enable fishing to be practised in complete peace and comfort.
These areas have been created with the needs of the environment in mind and are perfect places to do your fishing.

The Jouanne, the Oudon and the Ouette
(water-courses in the centre and the south).
Coarse fishing: roach and tench, but also carnivorous fish.
In most cases there is easy access from the road.

The Upper Mayenne, the Colmont, the Ouette
(northern water-courses).
Sport fishing in smaller water-courses: while you’re fishing you’ll be constantly moving through the heart of a well-preserved natural environment.
Fine, wild brown trout on offer. Fairly easy access from bridges.

Lakes with a reciprocity scheme
