FISHING WITH A GUARANTEE

The quality of the water for the needs of fishing is the main factor that is monitored by the Departmental Federation for Fishing and Protection of the Aquatic Environment.
The Departmental Federation is concerned with coordinating and monitoring the activities of A.A.P.P.M.As (Approved Fisheries and Aquatic Environmental Protection bodies) and does so in fulfilment of its role in preserving the aquatic environment, promoting and supervising fish breeding activities and developing amateur fishing as a means of promoting leisure fishing.
Targeted management of fish breeding related to threatened species in our department, namely pike and brown trout , makes it possible to offer fishermen quality environments and a great diversity of fish production.

INTRODUCTION TO FISHING

Learn how to fish with the Mayenne Fishing Federation.
The Mayenne Federation for Fishing and Protection of the Aquatic Environment offers introductory sessions on fishing, led by a state-approved and qualified tutor.

Two approaches are available:
- "Coarse fishing  ": this approach enables you to learn about fishing for bottom feeders (roach, bream, young carp, tench, etc.), about their life and the equipment you need for this activity.

- "Lure fishing  ": a little more of a “sport” and requiring more skill than the previous approach. This course aims to help you learn about the carnivorous fish in our waters (pike, pikeperch, perch) and how to fish for them.
These courses take half a day, one day or several days, depending on demand.

All equipment and consumables are provided by the federation.
